Sony Group Inc., Tokyo Laboratory 19, Kenji Suzuki, Yoshiyuki Kobayashi, and Takuya Narihira contributed a paper on the technology of AI ethics to the Website “arXiv” *. The R&D Center is working on eXplainable AI research and development, and published the results. eXplainable AI is a technology that allows people to know the reasoning behind AI called a black box. This paper proposes an efficient calculation method for the degree of influence of each data in deep learning. It is a technique for improving the accuracy of deep learning without increasing the amount of data by identifying and removing potentially harmful data. The source code for this paper is also available at “Sony AI Research Code” * from:

In addition, this technology is also implemented as a plug-in function * of the Neural Network Console, Sony’s deep learning tool, making it easy to use by GUI operation without programming.

Note)

  • “arXiv” is a website operated by the Cornell University Library which publishes more than 1 million papers.
  • “Sony AI Research Code” is a repository on GitHub that publishes the source code for Sony’s research papers.
  • After learning and evaluating, right-click to display the plug-in and select SGD influence. Use the latest version of the Neural Network Console (Compatible with Ver 2.0 Windows version and later).
